Our IoT solution

Each VI Sensor samples, analyzes, and streams high frequency electrical data to Insite Al.

Volta Insite electronic device with input ports, labelled POE input and display port, placed on a metallic surface with circuit-like patterns.
Device overview

Our proprietary hardware samples analog voltage and current signals, digitizing primary waveforms into structure data.

Continuous Waveform Capture

Captures voltage and current at 20,000 samples per second, preserving high frequency waveform detail to identify short duration transients. VI sampling resolution detects subtle electrical disturbances and waveform anomalies that traditional monitoring equipment fails to identify.

Synchronized System Monitoring

Maintain millisecond level synchronization across deployed sensors to accurately correlate electrical events throughout the facility. Coordinated monitoring enables precise tracking of transients across multiple panels, transfer switches, generators, and other critical systems operating simultaneously.

Integrated Electrical Intelligence

Each sensor interprets waveform behavior to begin analyzing electrical conditions in real time. On device analysis enables earlier identification of instability, emerging fault signatures, and anomalies before transmission to the cloud, supporting faster detection across complex electrical environments.

Scalable Facility Deployment

Deploy a single sensor at the main utility feed or scale across transformers, back up generators, PDU’s, switchgear, and additional monitoring points. Modular installation supports coordinated monitoring across small facilities or large distributed environments with dozens or hundreds of synchronized devices.

Installation

VI Sensors are designed for straightforward deployment in active facilities with minimal downtime.

Echo has terminals for current transformers and voltage taps and is UL listed for safe installation by your existing electrical team. Deployment is performed during scheduled maintenance windows, minimizing operational disruption while ensuring proper system integration. Ethernet connectivity enables secure communication with the cloud platform immediately upon installation, allowing devices to begin synchronized monitoring.

Build for scale

Our technology enables facility wide monitoring across large, distributed systems, delivering continuous visibility and coordinated intelligence at any deployment size.

What our customers say

“Our site saw several single phasing events. The utility stated it was not on their side, but VI Sensor data showed otherwise. This helped prove that the power feed was impacting our operations. Since we switched to a new transformer we have not had this issue again."

FAQ

01
What kinds of electrical equipment can Volta Insite monitor?

Volta Insite is designed to monitor virtually any electrical equipment across industrial and commercial facilities. Echo sensors can be deployed on electric motors, fans, blowers, pumps, compressors, generators, turbines, transformers, transfer switches, PDUs, switchgear, and more. Our platform serves a wide range of industries including manufacturing, data centers, utilities, renewable energy, healthcare, and mining. Wherever continuous visibility into electrical infrastructure matters, Volta Insite is built for it.

02
Can I start with a few Echo sensors and expand over time?

Yes. Echo is built for scalable deployment. You can begin monitoring a single utility feed or a handful of critical assets and add sensors as your needs grow. Whether you're running a small facility or a large distributed environment with dozens of synchronized devices, Echo scales without adding operational complexity.

03
Can an Echo sensor be moved from one piece of equipment to another?

Yes, though it requires reconfiguration. Each Echo sensor is calibrated to the specific equipment it monitors, so relocating a sensor to a different asset will require adjustments before it can resume accurate monitoring. Contact our team to coordinate any changes.

04
Does installation require downtime?

Minimal downtime is required. Echo sensors have terminals for current transformers and voltage taps, and are UL listed for installation by your existing electrical team. Deployment is performed during scheduled maintenance windows to minimize operational disruption. Once connected via Ethernet, devices begin synchronized monitoring immediately.

05
How does the alert system work, and can I customize it?

When InsiteAI detects a threshold crossing or anomaly within your facility, alerts are generated automatically and sent directly to any designated team member. Volta maintains an alert library of 8,000+ signals and leverages LLM based reasoning models to produce strategic, context aware notifications. Alerts are fully configurable so your team receives only the information that is relevant to your operations. You choose who gets notified, for which electrical events, and across which parameters.

06
What are Echo's network requirements?

Echo sensors communicate with the Volta cloud platform over a standard Ethernet connection. The system supports wired networks, firewall protected environments, and cellular connections for remote sites. Typical bandwidth consumption runs around 3GB per month per sensor, though this can be tuned down based on your facility's network constraints.

07
How much power does an Echo sensor consume?

Echo sensors are engineered for efficiency, consuming less than 10 watts of power. This ensures minimal impact on your facility's overall energy usage.

08
What is Echo's operating temperature range?

Echo sensors are rated to operate between -20°C and 50°C, making them suitable for diverse environments from cold industrial facilities to warmer outdoor or rooftop installations.

09
Does Volta Insite integrate with my BMS or BAS system?

Not at this time. Volta Insite operates as a dedicated electrical intelligence layer, focused exclusively on high resolution waveform monitoring and predictive analytics. While building management and automation systems handle HVAC, lighting, and operational controls, InsiteAI provides precision insight into the electrical behavior those systems depend on. The two are complementary rather than redundant.
